Requistive Photo Op

Admittedly, Eowyn enjoyed her two-month old photo shoot at JCPenny's (so classy, I know) as much as one might relish a root canal or the election of Hilary as president. Thus, it was with great trepidation that I approached the requisite "Six Month" photo, a demarcating event in each child's (with relatively good parents) life. With the tactical genius of a SWAT unit, I cleverly lulled Eowyn into her afternoon nap, while plotting to conduct a quick costume change into a fluffy, flouncy photo appropriate ensemble upon her waking noise, two brief hours later. Fortunately, the gods of photo posterity were kind that evening (a rare indulgence on their part), for Eowyn almost gleefully accepted said flouncy attire and black, patent leather shoes and even deigned to smile ounce or twice for the camera, while I bounced and sang like a maternal fool aside the pre-adolescent photographer, who has probably found her job to be the best form of birth control ever! So, here's to photo ops, flouncy & feminine gowns and keeping our teens virginal!

1. She looks like Jason in this photo... finally, reassurance that she's his! (kidding, kidding) 2. The photo setting is somewhat reminiscent of a funeral parlor... where are all the chubby Santa's and shiney Christmas gifts? Eeek!
