More often than not, ones first acquaintance with rejection is concurrent with the beginning of your academic journey: School is the hotbed of hostile dismissal and peer pressured partisanship from day one -when you don’t get picked for the kick-ball team.
Eowyn’s moment of narcissistic plunder occurred (ironically) on the local playground when she inquired, “Hey boy, Can you help me?" To which she received this gallant reply, "No! We're not playing with you!" A few moments later, this chivalrous young man stealthily approached and "shot her" with his imaginary gun, which in turn, made me wish I had a real one. Kidding, kidding. (don't judge)
Admittedly, however, there are days when I dream about Robin Hood vigillantes that protect the innocence featured in this video:

I too would choose the real gun option...not kidding:) Funny, at times I turn into a kid myself sometimes when kids pick on mine! As Sarah told a kid when we were in elementary school.."If you touch my little brother I'll punch your lights our"! Playground fun!
Wow. That was way better than when I ask Anna if she made friends at school or inquire about what they did or learned. She always just says, "I forget." And amen on protecting that sweet innocence. It kills me to think that Anna will be rejected and hurt by other people. I seriously could kill over that. p.s. Anna was watching the video and yelling "Hi Eowyn. I miss you Eowyn."
ugh...isn't it amazing how we can sink right down to the 2 year old level!!
I get such a kick out of her...she is just a little lady! I love hearing her talk. And she is quite the little shopper...adorable!
