Get ready to hate us.
After a month in the Ederle Inn.
One. Full. Month.
We moved into a home. *cue
thunderous applause*
Which was no small feat. *praise hands*
Our 18th century vineyard villa offers
panoramic views of the terraced orchards and trellised grapevines and flowering
fruit trees that grace the verdant landscape.
Straight-up fairy-tale.
Renaissance chandeliers bedazzle our
foyer (French pronunciation, please).
Our bathroom even boasts a charming bidet- which my demure daughter has
dubbed the "butt washer." So classy.
Don't let me fool you- There are a
million inconveniences associated with this Old World convent turned rental
villa. I'll share them in time.
Oh, and as fate would have it- there
is a gypsy community right across the street. Perfecto!
Batten down the hatches.
Batten down the hatches.
Meanwhile, I am drowning in boxes
and sinus infections and pneumonia bouts. More pictures to come. Or just come see it for yourself.
BUT- Please don't ever misunderstand
our life here: It will be lovely and it will be marred. And that is life.
Arrivederci, amico mio.
