It's fuzzy, but I do recall receiving a pastel My Little Pony for my fifth birthday. Fast forward 27 years. Last weekend, Eowyn and Kincaid attended an ocean-side pony party...with real ponies. Not too shabby for the celebration of their darling friend's fifth birthday.
I seriously doubt this memory will ever be fuzzy for anyone.
Meanwhile, Eowyn was all "Black
Beauty" - sober respect for the ("small fry") beast and calm jockey
confidence. Conversely, Kincaid was the cavalier
cowboy with a cocky smirk and pretending "Lone Ranger" poise. Lapping, sapphire waves graced the tropical theater
for this idyllic soiree. Save for the horse flies alighting upon the fruit dip
and the hurricane-like winds, I grew ashamedly envious of my own children's
childhood and nearly saddled up my own pony. (Reserve your comments about the weight limit)

How cute! As always Melissa, your blog is most enjoyable and amusing.
These ponies are just the right size for your children. In fact, your kids almost look too big. Perhaps when you come home, everyone can ride Rondo for a similar experience:)
I wish I had a party like that too! Maybe next year. :) And am I the only one that thinks that pic with Caid and Eowyn from the back is super cute/funny because it looks like he's trying to goose her?!?
