"Stick of Butter" Queen

Our Savannah excursion proved more profitable than imagined, as we were able to secure coveted reservations to luncheon at my culinary hero Paula Deen's restaurant, Lady & Sons. After the famed welcome by the Aunt Jemima-esque chef, who clangs a cow-bell and bellows "Come and Get It!" We did. And after the delectable, artery-clogging cuisine, I ventured with a wriggling Eowyn to the adjacent store, so that she might have the liberty to shop at her leisure. Suddenly, Eowyn tottered off in search of something to pull apart and within moments, I found her attached to the (rather hairy) leg of none other than Jamie Deen! Much to my elation, Jamie and Bobby were charmed by my doll-like daughter and we chatted like the old friends (that I wish we were). One might conjecture my disappointment at having not met "the Lady" herself, but in truth, I may have become a blubbering fool and embraced Paula without release, as she is the impetus for my culinary conversion. Because of "Paula's Home Cooking", I was empowered to abandon tuna fish and PB& J for the culinary delights and exploitation of butter under the tutelage of Savannah's finest. My husband is eternally grateful. We look forward to another trip to Savannah next summer when gas prices are cheaper due to off-shore drilling under President McCain. GOP 08'!

Well??????? Are ya squeeling with northern pride and delight at McCain's veep choice. Isn't she just Mah-vah-luss? I think we must just have the winning ticket.

I know your saddened about Romney...but ya gotta be thrilled by Gov. Palin. Her conservative stands, however she's no wallflower pageant queen. No way...she's a pit bull who will make minced meat outta Biden...politely of course and with my style and grace.

oops. i did NOT mean to say "...with MY style and grace" but meant...

with MUCH style and grace.

that did not come across at all how I meant it. sigh...

Well, I think you can safely and humbly say that it would be with both "Much" and "your" style and grace. I am ECSTATIC about the choice. Dare I say- it is better than my Mitt. I am delighted. However, I think she might need a bit of Hollywood makeover- Otherwise, I think she should bring her NRA-membership and her lovely smile ... It's going to be GOP election!

ha! No no no...she shouldn't touch a thing. i like the natural down to earth look...it makes her approachable, you know? just my thots. i am very excited and do hope that this is God showing favor on our precious country...although we don't deserve it. Just perhaps one more extension of His grace and mercy in November...no?

Fair enough. You know- Her hair in a "scrunchie" with glasses look will earn her empathy with Reagan Democrats. Agreed. I am delighted and hope that God is showing us his favor. Do you know that she is an evangelical Christian (and a nursing mother)!! Exciting.

yes! I did know that...she's amazing. I love the story about her Down's child...that they knew and CHOSE to keep him. how precious! sigh...

yeah, the scrunchie prolly should go. but i like the glasses. perhaps she could update them, you know like those dark rimmed narrow rectangular ones.
perhaps we should exchange emails. your readers may tire of our political tirades.
