Crackers with Rhythm

This brotha' can move

Who says white girls can’t dance? In this riveting expose on the secret life of soccer moms, I reveal a sampling of Eowyn and (cousin) Anna’s music lesson. An acquaintance with the innovative, cost-exorbitant, icon of suburbia Makin’ Music program afforded me the unique opportunity to replicate such genius within the humble confines of my family room.

Instruments at their disposal and an iPod plundered by pre-school playlists readied these rhythmic rockers. All we really lacked was a granola-type girl strumming children’s songs with a folksy, Woodstock inflection, while her battered guitar case -branded with stickers belying her love of trees and Gore and PETA- rests under a Birkenstock-clad foot. Her and her $165.00 price tag we could do without. Thank heavens I went to college or I may never ever been able to re-create such pedagogical and musical brilliance. Watch these little ladies cut a rug…at no cost to me. We were makin’ Juilliard musical scholars for free.

Eowyn seemed to know those words all too well. I think she has had some previous training somewhere with that same music ... unfair advantage?????

what are the odds anna was pretending she was a horse at some point during the dance? and i feel like eowyn was just starting her moves when the video ended. you gave some really excellent dance instruction, as well. forget piano lessons, i'm thinking an in-home dance studio may be what you need. loved the video!
