Mouse Party

M-I-C-K-E-Y  M-O-U-S-E.  Marketing Genius. For better more than worse, my kids are addicts. They will view the same episode successively, repeatedly, unendingly, as though each time were the first time. What is it about that Mouse and his guileless, goofy friends?  Though mystifying as to its allure, Kincaid has become an unwitting disciple and thus it seemed fitting to craft his second birthday festivities around this Disney darling.

An intimate neighborly soiree was held to fete my tempestuous toddler who has been acting "terribly two" for at least six months now.  Eowyn lobbied to open each gift, each time, even after each denial.  And this, mercifully, did not incite a sibling brawl since Caid's primary interest was his new ball.  So much for his flashy new tricycle and siren-equipped fire truck. For Caiders, the ball wins each and every time and this obsession should please his Poppy, immensely. As his tiny guests extinguished his candles for him with gusts of breath and piddles of spit , Kincaid looked upon his Mickey Mouse cake with gratified delight and I looked upon him with equal regard.

Happy Birthday my beloved Caid-bug.

What a birthday cake:) Well, the kids seem to be having wonderful time in Hawaii. Good work little mother in making the transition both joyful and entertaining (as if I ever thought you wouldn't:)
