Giving Thanks

There is nothing quite like a holiday to remind you how much you miss your family and those festive occasions when those who loved you with braces, bad hair and juvenile behavior gather to celebrate with familiar foods like a comforting warmth of a favorite sweater. Sigh. 
However, this year, we celebrated with our "Hawaiian transplant" friends and  were poignantly reminded of how blessed we are to have formed this new family as well.
