Undertaking a holiday house closing initially appeared to be a tenable ambition. However -hindsight and an interminable sinus infection providing lucid perspective-I’ve concluded that Christmastime re-locations with the handicap of an obsessive Type A personality can prove to be a rather overwhelming task. Nevertheless, as of a week before Christmas, we are finally homeowners again- regrettably no longer sharing a bathroom with my 18 year old brother and vying for laundry privileges like undergrads. In truth, though sleep was elusive for the first two weeks, as Eowyn’s adjustment evidently necessitated a triple bed occupancy, we did relish the time with family, even hosting social engagements in our new home after assembling our (previously but no longer pre-lit) faux tree. Despite her Emily Post tutorials, Eowyn ransacked her gifts with the enthusiasm of –well- a child, though her maternal affections were spared for her first American Girl doll- a docile WASPish looking “Bitty baby.” Interestingly, though, she took the most pleasure in the company of so many of her beloved (and adoring) family. So, now it’s back to the “Un-Spared Rod/Dare To Discipline” boot camp. We hope you’ve enjoyed a lovely Christmas season and are expectantly anticipating the joys of this new year!

Welcome to your new home...AND to surviving your first and, hopefully, your last Christmastime move. I did warn you, right? Love the pictures. Perhaps we'll get peeks at your new abode through photos, no?
Nice blog background!
